About SolarCabin
SolarCabin.co exists for one reason: to make it easier to power a cabin, shed, or tiny home with the sun — without wading through spec sheets, sales fluff, and fake five-star reviews.
What we do
Going off-grid is one of the most rewarding things you can do, but the gear can be overwhelming. Panels, controllers, inverters, batteries — all with their own specs and a hundred brands competing for attention. We cut through it. We research the products, organize them by what actually matters for a cabin (real daily power, durability, ease of install, value), and rank the ones worth your money.
How we research and rank
Every recommendation starts with the published specifications, manufacturer documentation, owner feedback, and how a product fits real off-grid use. We weigh efficiency, build quality, warranty, expandability, and price-to-performance — not marketing claims. When a product is better for beginners, or for a specific cabin size, we say so, rather than pretending one option wins for everyone.
Our integrity promise
- We never fabricate reviews or specs. Every spec we list comes from real product data. If we're uncertain about a figure, we say so or leave it out.
- We don't take payment for rankings. Affiliate commissions don't change where a product lands — the best product for the job wins.
- We tell you when we earn. See our affiliate disclosure below and in our privacy policy.
How we keep the lights on
SolarCabin.co is free to read and reader-supported. When you buy through our links to Amazon, eBay, or a brand's own store, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. That's what lets us keep researching and updating these guides. We're grateful when you use our links — and we only ever link to gear we'd genuinely consider for our own off-grid builds.
Going mobile?
If you're powering an RV, camper, or van instead of a cabin, our sister site SolarRVPanels.com covers rooftop kits, flexible panels, and portable setups for life on the road.
